In the spacious galley, with a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave oven you will cook the most delicious meals and you will pour the best beers at the bar.
If you are staying on board for several days it is very pleasant to retire to a comfortable bed after a day enjoying the wind and water. The Gulden Belofte has twenty two sleeping places distributed amongst seven double cabins and two four-person cabins. Every cabin has access to a shower and toilet. The facilities in the cabins are more than sufficient – a porthole, wash basin with cupboard, lighting and electricity.
The Gulden Belofte was built as a merchantman in 1911 and transported stones and sugar beet. During the Second World War the owner ran the ship aground on a river dike because he refused to work for the Germans. In 1976, the Gulden Belofte was restored and converted into a passenger ship so that it could take passengers on the IJsselmeer. In 2006, the ship was once again thoroughly renovated and given a luxurious look without losing its old charm.
