The marina of Ameland is not very big. About a 10 minute walk away is a large supermarket and in a 15 minute walk you reach Nes, a cozy village with many shops and restaurants. Although Ameland is traffic-calmed, there is quite a bit of traffic on the road to the ferry, when the ferry leaves or arrives. In the harbor there are good sanitary facilities and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Here you will also find the restaurant 'de Piraat'. From the terrace you have a wide view over the harbor, on the pier of the ferry and on the Watt. Behind the restaurant there is the bike rental Kiewiet, if you want to explore Ameland on a bicycle.
