Volendam

Volendam harbor

The NAUPAR ships are moored at the municipal harbor of Volendam. The harbor is adjacent to the dyke and the lively center. In the center you can walk along the fishing boats, old boats and tourist shops. There are two harbors in Volendam: the municipal port and Marinahaven where all yachts can moor. There are a number of facilities in the municipal harbor, such as toilets, Wi-Fi, electricity, showers and waste bins.

About the harbor in Volendam

Volendam is a picturesque fishing village on the Markermeer. It is known for its colorful wooden houses and the special costumes that became the national symbol of the Netherlands. Fishing has always been an important source of income in Volendam and this is clearly visible in the harbor. There are many fishing boats and seafood vendors here. Behind the dyke lies the Maze, with its wooden houses and narrow streets. The Palingsoundmuseum, Volendam Museum and the well-known Visafslag, a building where fish were auctioned off, are within walking distance of the harbor.
